Keep Up The Good Work-Looking Forward To Technical/Chart Analysis on StockTwits TV, Good Trading!

it would be nice to have an alternative to CNBC for sure. I don't even turn it on anymore unless there is really nothing happening in the market. I'm sure you could attract your own set of more believable talking heads like @pedrovsky, gregor Macdonald etc. Since you took the better people out of the tweet stream I sure dont use Stocktwits much except early in the morning. @dmooney9

The most important thing is to make sure people know when the live shows are. I have yet to see any details of any scheduling. If there isn't any you should make that information available.

Since you're just starting out I'd recommend you start with a fixed 30min/1hr program and make the most of that. I'm sure other programs will come to you so you can fill up the space so it's not all dead air (e.g.ETF talk, Shorts, Options, Futures, etc.).

    Howie:

    We missed ya today.

Instead they played the "Twilight Zone" episode where the humans are lunch for the space aliens: "To Serve Man".
  • marketfolly · 4 months ago
yea I'm on twitter and stocktwits all the time and somehow I managed to miss the time at which it would be aired. Any replays going to be available anywhere? Would be good to have an archive to point people to as well when referencing certain clips.

New to site. Unable to find link/dropdown to Stocktwits TV.
Can u pls direct me? Thanks.

this has to be your best kept secret yet. What site are you talking about? there is nothing at stocktwitstv.com, no links from your blog, and no links from the stock twits site... i am on the road so i may have missed the tweets with the links, but you of all people shouldn't make it so hard for us to find it.
  • howardlindzon · 4 months ago
Just go to main site and you will see the video box
  • born2code · 4 months ago
figured it out. You need to be logged on to StockTwits on the site to see the video box. Since i use it mostly from TweekDeck i was not logged on and did not see anything.
also i could not play back the content, i presume that's because it is "live TV" but maybe it just my browser acting up. would be nice to be able to view it later in the day if we cannot make it to the broadcast.
i very much like where you are going with this by the way and still hope Ratigan would end up in this mix.
    kudos as always.

Probably asking a lot but I'd like to see this on my iPhone not still glued to my desk. Val's cute but I could put up with low bandwidth to get my stocktwit fix.

Would love to see a mid-day review of the top tickers for the day.

LOL. I think the lady doing stock twits TV is attractive, funny, and of course pretty nervous. You can tell she doesn't have a clue on the markets, and I started to feel bad for her during the weird pauses. Not her fault. Maybe just have a different person from stocktwits do a remote video a few times a day? if this was supposed to compete with cnbc, well, ah......LOL. all i can say.

The aiki/infoarb segment was really nice to listen to in the background while doing other work. So far, the roundtable-esque segments with visitors have been great. The updates throughout the day where tweets are just gathered and vocalized aren't worth much to me. It's almost easier to just scan the stream and get the same info + a lot more.

A good starting point may be to check out what Tom O'Brien does at www.TFNN.com
Tom does about 3 hrs of broadcast per day and is all interactive with emails and callers. Lots of charts and ideas exchanged. Check it out Howard - I think you could improve on what he does by bringing the traders and "experts".

    Hey thx

Howard, this is not meant to be a plug for Tom O'Brien but I have listened to him online for about 8 years. His program/format is really quite pioneering. About 3 years ago he started a "premium" subscriber based chat room that his followers could use (and directly interact with Tom or his guests) as he was broadcasting. He now streams video and charts live during his 4 to 6 pm (EST) show. He also arrchives every program for follower that can't follow live.

well i think stocktwitstv excellent idea, hopefully it can move to the mainstream cable medium. I don't see any reason why not. Also it would be great to run live stream of the twits being discussed about the particular stock on the side of the screen
  • howardlindzon · 4 months ago
    Working on it. Thx

How about subtitling and/or closed captioning StockTwits TV. There is a real lack of resources towards addressing this issue for Internet video.

I've watched a few episodes of Stocktwits TV and it's brilliant. More than that, it's genuine. With the network that shall not be names, there is so much preening and posturing for the cameras and god knows who else. They guys from SMB, Fred, Roger and everyone else who's been on Stocktwits has just offered their opinion or told their story and let it ride. Therein lies the brilliance and appeal. I hope it grows.

    We do to. Thx
