I'm a typing machine. Albiet a younger version. lol. I have suffered from off and on tendonitis for some time. Three things I've tried to do.
1) I do these exercises regularly. You may find others. They do help.

2) I bought this keyboard. It helps ALOT versus my laptop keyboard. It's not the extreme ergonomic keyboard so you can still type at a fast pace without learning an entirely new position. (There are others obviousl)

3) Carpal tunnel is potential pre-arthritic or pre-diabetic. Eat a diabetic's diet to reduce the inflation in your body.
There is no cure. We, especially you, are getting old. Hope this is in some way helpful.
